A quarter-century

Today is my 25th birthday. While I can honestly say I feel like an adult these days, it still seems hard to believe quite that much time has passed. Besides the oddly quick advancement of the ages, the last quarter-century has treated me well. I hope I'll be able to say the same in 2048.

Pacing yourself

It's getting to be that magical time of year once again, folks. The time when the air grows cooler, when families gather together, and when everyone you meet seems to have a spring in their step. That's right, the winter gaming season has begun.

Hard to believe it, but this is post number 100 for Deranged Gamer. I hope everyone reading has enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Thanks for everything, Internet! 

A newcomer's guide to sandbox games

Hey all, I just wanted to make this post to say that, due to scheduling conflicts, Deranged Gamer will have one-update weeks for the next two or three weeks. New posts will be on Thursdays. Come on back next Thursday to check out a new late in the game review!

Back in the saddle

After a holiday absence, Deranged Gamer is back in action! While taking some time off from writing, one fact has recently become apparent: how scarily easy it is to get wrapped up in day-to-day life without including our favorite hobby.

Wii would like to play

I got an early Christmas present this year: a Nintendo Wii. I know it's late in the console's lifespan, with the WiiU coming out before long, but I'm still excited about it. Not just for the usual reasons, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, either. I'm excited for multiplayer.

So, about those updates...

Things (like work schedules, being sick, holidays, etc.) have interrupted the regularly scheduled broadcast of Deranged Gamer as of late, and for that I'd like to apologize.

Moving Mayhem

Due to rampant unpacking and the blatant mess that has overcome parts of my apartment, I will be unable to make a regular blog post today. I will resume the usual Tuesday/Thursday schedule on Thursday, so for the time being, here's a picture of a cat in a sock via Cute Overload. Enjoy.

Bon Voyage

Starting the day after tomorrow, my incredible wife and I will be heading out for our last European tour (for the immediate future, anyway), this time accompanied by my lovely mother-in-law and aunt-in-law (I guess that's how you say it). 

Off for a jaunt

Hey all, my parents are on their way to Edinburgh today, and we'll be doing a little Europe-hopping over the next two weeks. There probably won't be updates during that time, but I'll be sure to regale you with stories upon our return. Thanks for reading!
