I got an early Christmas present this year: a Nintendo Wii. I know it's late in the console's lifespan, with the WiiU coming out before long, but I'm still excited about it. Not just for the usual reasons, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, either. I'm excited for multiplayer.
Dokapon Kingdom, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Tetsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars, and many more titles make offline multiplayer on the Wii a real force to be reckoned with. My wonderful wife prefers the Virtual Console feature, through which she has access to tons of classic games, which are more her niche than newer ones.
So, in a nutshell, great times will be had by all.
