The Governator is no joke

Apparently comic god Stan Lee and Ex-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger weren't kidding around when they announced a new comic series entitled The Governator. What's more, an animated TV series, video game, and movie are reportedly planned.

What many people believed to be an April Fool's Day prank has turned out to be stranger than fiction when both Schwarzenegger and Lee made it apparent, in no uncertain terms, they were serious.

“First will come [The Governator] comic books, then a [cartoon] TV series and after that we will develop the games and then a movie," Schwarzenegger told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival. "Maybe then we'll be back at Cannes for that."

Schwarzenegger uploaded a trailer of The Governator animated series, which can be viewed below. It might actually be too '80s for words.

How did Lee convince Schwarzenegger to sign on? As Lee tweeted, "I offered the world-famed @TheGovernator2 my personal secrets for body-building and physical training. His gratitude was a joy to behold."

Okay, that one was probably a joke. Probably.

  1. You sure it's not a joke? It sure looked a lot like a Batman episode.
