Floridian "vampire" woman arrested for assaulting an elderly man

Last week, a Florida woman named Josephine Smith was arrested for felony aggravated battery Milton Ellis, a 69-year-old man who was confined to a motorized wheelchair. Just before the attack, Smith announced "I am a vampire, I am going to eat you." Also, this all took place in front of a vacant Hooters in St. Petersburg. Yeah.

The Smoking Gun reports that Ellis, who afterward received stitches because he was missing chunks of his face and arm, had reportedly been asleep when Smith (mugshot on the right) made her announcement and attacked him.

Ellis escaped to a nearby gas station and called 911, and when police arrived, they located Smith with her pants missing and her panties around her ankles. During questioning, she could give no account of what transpired or why she was half nude.

Of course, this is all coming from Ellis. Since Smith cannot recall the events, the only proof is Ellis' wounds and Smith's blood-covered pantslessness.

Smith is a 22-year-old with no previous criminal record. Ellis (mugshot from an arrest four months ago on the left), on the other hand, has been arrested 12 times over the last four years for crimes like battery and disorderly intoxication. Assuming Ellis is telling the truth, Smith has apparently been reading too much Bram Stoker accompanied by shots of vodka.
